TRAFFIC ONLINE SERVICES
As a convenience to members of our community, you may be eligible to pay your traffic ticket online before your court date and time. This is a fast, secure, convenient way to pay for your ticket online.
TICKET PROCESSING TIME:
The City Court of Zachary cannot accept payment until the issuing agency submits the ticket for processing, which typically takes 15 business days.
COURT MANDATORY CITATIONS:
Only some traffic tickets are eligible to be paid online. Some will require an appearance in Court.
Tickets that CANNOT be paid online are violations that require a Court appearance and tickets where the Court appearance date has already passed. Please refer to our Court Mandatory Citation List.
ONLINE PROCESSING FEES:
The online ticket payment service has a NON-REFUNDABLE 3.5 % processing fee. If you do not wish to pay this processing fee, you may pay your ticket in cash, check, or money order in person at the Courthouse during regular business hours or mail your payment to the Clerk of Court.
PARTIAL PAYMENTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED ONLINE:
If you have already been to Court and have made payment arrangements, you will be able to pay your ticket on or before your scheduled due date only if you are paying your ENTIRE BALANCE. The Court does NOT accept partial payments online. When making your partial payments in person, it's crucial that you sign a notice for your next payment date.
FAILURE TO APPEAR/CONTEMPT OF COURT:
Payment MUST be received on or before the scheduled Court appearance date, or it will result in a Failure to Appear/Contempt of Court attachment, which is a bench warrant for your arrest. When you miss your Court date or fail to pay any ticket timely, we issue an 'attachment', which is an arrest warrant for Failure to Appear (FTA)/Contempt of Court. We also notify the DMV, who may then take action to suspend your driver's license. It's important to understand the full extent of the consequences.
If you are experiencing difficulty paying your ticket online, please contact the Clerk of Court.
